1. Operator and scope
Racelytic is operated personally by Sam Nijsten in the Netherlands. You can contact the operator at racelytic@gmail.com.
These Terms govern use of racelytic.com, including its public pages, accounts and community features. By using Racelytic, you must comply with these Terms. Account registration requires you to expressly accept the version shown above and acknowledge the Privacy Notice.
2. The service
Racelytic is a free, independent motorsport history, statistics, analysis, quiz and championship-calculation project. It is unofficial and is not affiliated with Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula 3, F1 Academy, the FIA, their commercial rights holders, teams or drivers.
Features and datasets may change, be corrected, become unavailable or be discontinued. Maintenance, technical problems or circumstances outside our control may interrupt access. We do not promise that every feature will remain available or that Racelytic will always operate without error.
3. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Registration currently requires a unique username and password; Racelytic does not require an email address. Provide accurate registration confirmations, choose an appropriate username, protect your password and do not allow another person to misuse your account.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. Usernames must not impersonate another person or organisation, mislead other users, violate rights, or contain unlawful or abusive material.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Racelytic to break the law; infringe intellectual-property, privacy or other rights; harass or deceive others; publish unlawful or abusive material; distribute malicious code; bypass access controls; overload or disrupt the service; manipulate quizzes or analytics; or access another person’s account or private content.
Do not systematically scrape, copy or republish Racelytic’s database or bypass technical restrictions. Reasonable ordinary browsing, linking, and use of information for genuine commentary or research remain subject to applicable law and any third-party rights identified on the Data Sources & Licences page.
5. Your saved and public creations
You retain any rights you hold in original material you submit. When you make a points system, record definition or championship public, you grant Racelytic a non-exclusive, worldwide and royalty-free licence to host, technically format, reproduce, display and make that material available as necessary to operate the public feature. You may withdraw this licence by deleting the item or making it private, except for temporary technical copies and legal retention obligations.
You are responsible for what you publish and must have the rights needed to share it. Public creations appear with your display name and can be viewed, linked to and copied by other people. Do not include personal information that you do not want to make public.
6. Moderation and reports
We may remove content, make it private, restrict features or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, respond to a substantiated rights claim, protect other users or preserve the security and operation of Racelytic. Decisions will be proportionate to the circumstances. Where reasonably possible, we will explain a restriction and allow the affected user to respond.
To report content you believe is unlawful or infringes your rights, email racelytic@gmail.com. Identify the exact page or item, explain the concern, provide your name and email address, and confirm that you believe the report is accurate and complete. We will acknowledge and assess sufficiently detailed reports without undue delay.
7. Racelytic and third-party rights
Racelytic’s original software, design, writing and calculated presentations are protected by applicable rights. You may use the service through its normal interface for personal, informational and other lawful purposes. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Racelytic or grant permission to use third-party logos, images, trade marks or datasets.
External links are provided for reference. The destination operator controls its own website, availability, content and terms.
8. Statistics and calculations
Statistics are compiled from third-party and project datasets and may be incomplete, delayed, disputed or incorrect. Racelytic is not an official record. Alternative standings, comparisons and simulations are mathematical and editorial tools; they cannot show how a real championship would have unfolded under different rules.
Do not rely on Racelytic for betting, financial decisions, safety decisions or other high-stakes purposes. Formula 1, F1, Formula 2, F2, Formula 3, F3, F1 Academy and related marks belong to their respective owners. The Data Sources & Licences page identifies provenance, modifications and applicable licences. Naming or linking a source does not imply endorsement.
9. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer protections. Within those limits, Racelytic is provided without guarantees beyond those required by law. We are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss resulting from inaccurate statistics, user content, third-party websites, loss of locally stored drafts or temporary unavailability.
You remain responsible for your decisions, your device and connection, backups of material important to you, and your lawful use of the service.
10. Ending use and account deletion
You may stop using Racelytic at any time. Individual saved creations can be deleted using their available controls. To request deletion of your account and its associated saved content, contact racelytic@gmail.com and provide enough information to verify that you control the account.
We may close an account following a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, or where necessary to comply with law or protect the service. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an explanation. Provisions that by their nature continue after account closure—including responsibility for earlier conduct—remain applicable.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Racelytic, security, legal requirements or operating practices. The current effective date and version are displayed at the top. Where a change materially affects account holders’ rights or obligations, we will provide appropriate notice and request renewed acceptance when required.
12. Applicable law and contact
Dutch law applies to these Terms. If you are a consumer, this choice does not remove mandatory protections or access to courts available under the law of your country of residence. Please first raise questions or disputes with racelytic@gmail.com so we have an opportunity to address them.
